Live Art and Neurotransgression

Oliver, Daniel (2025) Live Art and Neurotransgression. Contemporary Theatre Review, 34 (3). pp. 280-289. ISSN 1048-6801

Abstract

This writing is about Live Art and neurodiversity. I introduce and attempt to define my term ‘neurotransgression’ and argue that all Live Art is neurotransgressive. The writing includes an ‘Easy Read’ and an ‘Access Rider’. It works to maintain a fidelity to my own neurotrangsressive mode of being and doing. I am diagnosed as dyspraxic with an executive planning dysfunction.
