Men & Girls Dance brings together two very different groups of performers: adult, male professional contemporary dancers, and girls who dance for fun.
At times playful, at times thought-provoking, Men & Girls Dance celebrates the rights of adults and children to be together, to play together and to dance together. It’s a joyful celebration of tenderness, empathy, and love.
Created for an adult audience, Men & Girls Dance continues Fevered Sleep’s ambition to encourage audiences to think differently about the world and to start conversations.
Thanks to Arts Council Strategic Touring funds, a series of performance residencies took place between March and October2016. During each of these residencies, we worked with a new company of girls from the local area. In Spring 2017, we held a residency at The Place in London, and in Summer 2017, the project will be taking place at Tate Britain .

The Men & Girls Dance Newspaper
As part of the project we publish a newspaper, including pieces written by people who live and work in each city the project is recreated in. It is a collection of creative writing on the themes of the project, such as love, empathy and trust.
